Hudson’s 5th birthday!

I can’t believe my Hudson is 5! We started the day off with German Pancakes {his request} and Strawberries for breakfast..We offered to take him to do something fun, but he just wanted to stay in his pjs, open presents, play with his new legos and veg out at home most of the day. Fine with me!This is our little diaper fairy getting caught opening some of his presents.

Hudson and Lola LOVE helping me give Faye a bath. One morning last week, Lola really wanted to get in with her–so I decided to forget about the mess it would make and let her.. Turns out, Lola was entertained in there for a good extra 20 minutes. Good thing Faye didn’t mind snuggling up in her towel for a while so Lola could enjoy some suds.

This one turned out blurry.. I actually love it

Hudson wanted to join in the fun too. Lola loved splashing him..I love my kids.

Faye’s Blessing dress

Sooo. Per the request of many, I am posting some pictures of Faye’s blessing dress that I “semi-made”.. The bottom part of her dress was a skirt that I took in and then I added a thick ribbon for the bust-line and another ribbon for the sleeves.. I was quite proud of myself. This was my first button ever. The lace on her headband is leftovers from the original skirt. And I have no clue where I got the bloomers. Love them though! I had a little cardigan for backup incase this didn’t work out, but I’m glad to say we didn’t even need it! Total price=<$10.00

{OH! And don’t look too closely, I am definitely not a perfectionist when it comes to sewing..}

Trip to the San Francisico Zoo

It’s been fun recently to get my camera out again and take pictures. I really enjoy the creative outlet it allows me to incorporate into my every day life. I have learned that I need to just let the pictures happen instead of forcing it. Especially with my own kids. My favorite shots are when they aren’t thinking about me or the camera anyway. Who knows, I just can’t help myself and will probably do a formal session anyway.. Enough said. We had a great day at the San Francisco Zoo. It was a little chilly, but sunny so that made up for it. Hudson talks about the San Diego Zoo almost daily, which there is no substitute for–but we decided Lola would enjoy the San Francisco Zoo anyway. We all did. I still can’t believe she is 2..

Little Leon

Little Leon. aka “baby thor” {That’s what Brandon calls him anyway}. We love this kid. What’s not to love. His mama says he is “Tough and tender” and I couldn’t agree more! And can you believe his baby blues, Curly locks, and the best cheeks!? He is so sweet and such a good friend to my little Lola! Enjoy!
